Adell Lewis Jr. was born on December 21, 1958 in Dorchester County to Adell Lewis Sr. and Ernestine Fulton Lewis. He was the 3rd of 4 siblings born to this union. His public school education was obtained from the Dorchester County Public Schools. He also attended Bethel Bible Institute, Jamaica, NY and School of The Word, Sumter, South Carolina.

He received Jesus as his personal savior in 1978, and has been in love with God ever since. Shortly after he received Christ, he joined Bethel # 1 Holiness Church and was called into the ministry where he was taught and trained under the leadership of the late Bishop Lun Green, later serving under the leadership of Bishop Ernest Reeves. Prophet Lewis held a passion of the people of God and for his church. His heart's desire was to see the people of God grow in the things of God. He was interested in finding ways to bring about "positive" changes in the body of Christ. He was also a faithful member of the NUCLEUS Intercessory Prayer Team.

Prophet Lewis was employed by CCX Fiberglass of Walterboro, SC for many years and at the time of his death, employed by Ronald L. Avant Masonry.

In May, 1977 he was joined in matrimony to Pauline Dacus Lewis and this union was blessed with four wonderful children. Adell was a loving father and his children were his life and his love.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories, two daughters, Mrs. Colonda (Tahj) Phelps, Gaston, SC; Ms. Kejuana Lewis, Walterboro, SC; two sons, Gerrod Lewis, Columbia, SC and Demetrice (Naneisha) Lewis, Walterboro, SC; A loving father and mother of the home, Mr. Adell Lewis Sr. and Mrs. Ernestine Fulton Lewis, Reevesville, SC; seven sisters, Mrs. Gracie (Craig)Johnson, Reevesville, SC, Mrs. Emarunda (John) Green, Orangeburg, SC, Ms. Roslyn Milligan, Somerville, NJ, Elizabeth Perry, Mrs. Wanda ( Joseph ) Warren, Ms. Tiny Perry, all of Reevesville, SC, and Mrs. Shirley Wallace; three brothers, (one preceding him in death, Mr. McArthur Lewis), Mr. Horace (Linda) Lewis, St. George, SC and C.L. Lewis, Reevesville, SC; Sisters-in-law; Ms. Barbara Moore, Rosetta Dacus, Eileen Brown, (Marietta Dacus, preceded him in death) brothers-in-law; Willie Perry, Ulysses Perry, Dwayne Dacus, Charles Dacus, and Jeremiah Dacus; nine grandchildren, Jainesha, Tenasia, and TaJahn of Gaston, SC, NaQuasia, Jametrice, India, Andre' and Alexis of Walterboro, SC and Jaziah of New York, NY; And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
